Speaker PowerPoint Template
Please use the speaker PowerPoint template, which includes a required slide for financial relationship disclosures.
Speaker Slides
WDSS uses Preseria, an online presentation management platform, to collect and organize all speaker slides. A link to the Preseria upload portal will be shared with speakers prior to the meeting. Please upload your final presentation by the stated deadline to ensure it is properly queued for your session.
Slide and Presentation Guidelines
WDSS must ensure that all continuing education activities meet the standards of the Academy of General Dentistry’s Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE), including requirements for scientific integrity, independence, and educational value. Please review the guidance below to support the development of high‑quality, evidence‑based content that aligns with PACE standards.
- Speakers are required to include a disclosure slide – provided in the PowerPoint template – as the second slide of their presentation.
- A verbal disclosure must also be made at the beginning of the presentation. If you have a financial relationship with a commercial entity that is not relevant to your content, please state that clearly in your verbal disclosure.
- Educational materials (slides, abstracts, handouts, etc.) must not contain advertising, corporate logos, trade names, or product‑specific messages from any commercial entity.
- Content must be scientifically objective, evidence‑based, and designed to improve patient care – not to promote any proprietary product, device, or service.
- Presentations must provide a balanced discussion of therapeutic options. Use of generic names is preferred. If trade names are used, include examples from multiple companies when available.
- Do not use identifiable photographs of patients. Remove all identifiers or obtain written patient permission before including any clinical images or case details.
